Movies are Great Tools to Teach…but be Careful

There are some aspects you have to take in consideration choosing a movie as a teaching tool:

  • Before students watch the movie you have to wach it previosly and decide the assignments or activities to apply after they watch the film (writing an essay, role playing the movie, answering a questionaire or oral questions, discussions…etc.)
  • Choose movies that didn´t have publicity (make sure most of your students didn´t watch it before)
  • Select movies with inspiring or historical contents
  • Avoid movies with sexual scenes or violent contents

The First Grader

Watching this movie students will laugh, cry and they will get worried some moments. A great movie about a simple person who has a meaningful goal, a person who has been a fighter and keeps on fighting against those that think he doesn´t deserve to be a first grader.

Let your students enjoy this amazing movie
